MMNA is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join the Southeast Region Sales team. As the Regional Sales Manager you will manage retail and wholesale sales activities, marketing directives, and distribution objectives at region including acting as liaison with dealers, Regional management and Corporate.

Location of Position

The ideal candidate must be located in the Southeast Region, this includes FL, GA, AL, MS, TN, SC, NC, KY, VA, WV & LA. Frequent travel to the Regional Office, located in Lake Mary, FL will be expected in addition to travel within the Region.

A representative list of responsibilities are outlined below:
  • Work with the team of District Sales Managers and Region Distribution Managers to develop, implement, and monitor strategies to positively impact wholesale and retail sales volumes and achieve monthly sales objectives.
  • Recommend, develop, manage, and implement Region marketing strategies including dealer incentive programs, National Marketing activities, and Region promotions.
  • Direct Distribution Manager to develop, manage, and implement the ordering, allocation, distribution, and delivery of vehicles to region dealers.
  • Manage Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) improvement strategies to ensure Corporate Customer Satisfaction goals are achieved.
  • Manage Region sales training and communications with dealers and their personnel to enhance dealer sales operations and recommendations to resolve problems.
  • Monitor dealership adherence with policies and procedures and participation in sales, marketing, advertising, and distribution programs.
  • Mentor work group members through coaching, counseling, and joint dealer contacts. Promote an environment of sharing best practices, providing opportunities for growth and development, and reviewing performance.
  • Provide clear direction to highly stressful business conditions.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities and meet stated deadlines while delivering quality results.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications and "Nice to Have's":
  • BS/BA in Business/Marketing or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In lieu of BS/BA requirement, 8 to 10 years of progressive, exempt-level wholesale/retail automotive experience including 2 years experience as a District Sales Manager.
  • 2 years wholesale automotive supervisory/management experience in such positions as Regional Distribution Manager, Regional Retail Marketing Manager, Franchise Development Manager, and Regional Parts & Service Manager.
  • Retail automotive dealership management experience beneficial.
  • MBA or other appropriate advanced degree is a plus.
  • Formal training in such areas as sales techniques, financial statement analysis, inventories management and related marketing and advertising.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Extensive travel is often required.
  • Must maintain a valid unconditional driver’s license and a MMNA approved driving record.
